HWH leveling jacks don't always fully retract
Hello helpful folks!
So I've noticed that when we're parked for several days (usually around 4+), some / all of my leveling jacks (HWH 2000 series) do not fully retract when it's time to roll out. If we only stay 1-3 nights, they retract correctly. The longer we stay parked, seemingly the less they want to retract.
Furthermore, it appears that the system is still trying to retract them because the touch screen in the coach still blinks and the red lights indicating which jacks are down are still illuminated. If I get under the coach and push the jacks up, then they will go up.
Anyone have any experience with this / know how to rectify the issue?
Thanks!

Cleaning the jack shafts has worked for me for the past 10 years .
There are also change up springs available.

HWH leveling jacks are on a 20 minute timer for retraction by springs, then the system automatically shuts off.

Are your retract springs up to date? My old springs were a straight barrel from end to end. My updated springs have a taper on the ends. Changing to these new tapered springs solved my problem.

Thanks! Next time we're parked for a few days I will try cleaning them prior to retracting them. Thanks for sending the documentation, those are super helpful!

Thanks for the note! I do have the tapered springs. What's odd to me is that they retract fine when we're only parked for 1 - 3 days...

I think cleaning as skip recommended will improve retraction times. DO NOT spray them with silicone! HWH addresses that in their FAQ page.

Thanks! I'll give cleaning them a shot next time we're parked for a few days. If simply wiping them down doesn't work, then I'll try the WD40 route.
