HWH no Store (button doesn’t work)

Went to leave this evening and when I went to retract the jacks the auto button will not engage. All other functions work, just not retract. I am going to stay tonight and try the manual retract tomorrow. From what I can tell by reading, I may need a new control module. Anyone else have a different and perhaps less costly solution?

Let's start with...

1. What model HWH system do you have?

2. Did you try the manual leveling buttons on the keypad to see whether you could retract the jacks that way?

It’s a HWH 725 system. The manual buttons do work, just not the auto store. I was going to release the levers on the solenoids to manually retract. Are you saying if I just held the retract button it would eventually pull the jacks up?

Here is the manual for yours: ML47964 – HWH® Corporation

Here is HWH's diagnostic troubleshooter help for yours: JACK DIAGNOSTICS – HWH® Corporation

Follow the steps on the Troubleshooter page. See where it takes you.

Good luck!

Yes, that’s the manual I have. I found some diagnostic papers online that talk about , if the auto store button doesn’t work, but you have power at the other controls, you need to replace the control panel.

Sounds like the Store switch has given up the ghost, but follow the diagnostic steps for your system to be sure.

Yes, you should be able to fully retract the jacks with the "down" buttons. When the Store button died in ours I used the front and rear ones. You have to hold them down until the corresponding lights go out.

If the switches in the touch pad are not replaceable you'll need a new touch pad. If they are replaceable, you can find some writeups on how to repair them (one from me, but the pics are for a 625 panel). It might be possible to send your panel out for repair if the switches are replaceable and you're not comfortable with a soldering iron.

Contact Paul at AZPETE on the Irv2 forum. He works for HWH and can answer your questions. His email is pfmaddox@att.net and his phone number is 602-549-3638. He is a Commercial Member and has posted that his phone is always on, and if not answered, leave a message.

For the future, here is another source of the HWH system parts - much cheaper than Newmar. HWH Replacement Parts - Stuart's Services
