Hydro Flame furnace problem

Hydro Flame model 7920-II furnace in a 1995 Elkhorn model 11Z truck camper. Camper sat for two years without going anywhere. In trying to resurrect the thing for a camping trip scheduled for next week, I have found that the furnace is a no-go.

Normal procedure on this furnace is to turn the switch on the wall-mount thermostat to "on" then turn the heat setting way up. The heater fan then starts running and the furnace lights the propane. In my case the fan never starts.

I've checked the furnace fuse in the main fuse panel and it's good. I've found current at the furnace where the red wire comes in and plugs into a black plastic thingy that says "5 amps" on the front. Power is then traced to where the wire attaches to a relay, but my tester doesn't show power anywhere else in the furnace. I don't understand how it works well enough to even know where I should expect to find power.

Any suggestions are welcome!

Jim, welcome to iRV2.com. We are glad to have you join us. I am sure you will enjoy the website. Here is a schematic that should be the same as yours only this is a larger BTU unit.

Check connections as this may be the most common problem. Unplug them one at a time and reconnect verify tight connections. Let us know how you come out on the diagnostics.
