Hydroflame rv furnace problem

I have an 20+ yr old Monterey camper with a hydroflame furnace. I was getting power and fan would turn on and run but it wouldn't try to ignite the burner. So I bought a 31501 circuit board and hooked it up, now I can hear it trying to ignite the burner and I can smell propane but the fan doesn't turn on. The new board has spades where the power and blower wires attach but my furnace doesn't have these 2 wires. All my unit has is the flat plug with 3 wires that plugs into the board and the igniter wire from the board to the igniter. Do I need to bypass the run delay switch and plug into the board? I'm lost. Thanks for any help.

Gas valve and ignitor should NEVER be energized w/o Fan RUNNING!!

You have the circuit board wired up wrong

What is the Model Number of your Hydroflame??

Sounds like you have the Time Delay Relay........

Wire going to Fan should be connected to 'BLW' terminal
Then connect a new wire from 'PWR' terminal to the terminal on the TDR where the Fan wire was

I do have a run delay relay on my furnace, from what I've read the 31501 board eliminates the run delay relay as it is built into the board. I have a red wire and a black wire running to the blower, I guess my question is how do I bypass the run delay relay and attach it directly to the board.

Ok silly question, which wire would.be the blower wire - the red or the black. I'm worried about damaging the new control board.

Ok so the red wire went to TDR so I plugged it onto the blower spade on the control board and then I created a hot wire that I plugged into the TDR where I removed the wire coming from the blower then I connected the 12v battery I got the same thing no blower and the igniter firing. Heard a sizzling noise and a small puff of smoke and disconnected the power supply. I'm not sure where to find the model number of the furnace, on the cover that the control panel is bolted to I see FA 7916 also found PN 3276 inside under the gas valve

So I think I fried the new board, should have paid better attention to what you were saying. My dumb @$$ hooked a wire to the TDR not the power spade to TDR. So I put power directly into the TDR and shorted the board out. I rewired it the way you said and now I get nothing.

Test the fan by connecting the Red 12VDC+ wire to the Fan Motor Red wire

You may have damaged the TDR vs the circuit board

Disconnect/remove circuit board and look for any scorching/burnt circuit/components

Well I removed the new board and hooked the TDR back up the way it was applied power and after a delay the blower turns on. So I must have fried the board, I don't see anything burnt

Just wanted to thank Old-Buscuit for your help getting my furnace to run. It would have worked with the first board had I paid better attention to what you were saying. So I carried the old board to work and our electrician found the OE P/N so I ordered the OE board yesterday morning and it came in today. I installed it when I got home and after a 10 sec delay the fan kicked on and ran for a short while and the furnace fired right up and runs like a champ. Once again I thank you!
