When we go to move and have the inverter on for the refrig, etc., I have seen my little analog volt meter peg at 130 VAC. Any ideas why this would be, and does it represent a problem in the solenoid or transfer switch?

By peg, do you mean it goes to the end of the scale. If it just goes to 130 VAC there is nothing wrong with that.

What you may be seeing is a result of modified sine wave inverter output. Sometimes the output waveform of an inverter can fool simple meters that expect a true sine wave.

It should cause no problem with solenoids or transfer switches.

Thank you both for your replies. Makes sense about the inverter type pushing AC to the meter.
