Inverter Questions

My coach has a 2000W Magnum inverter that I think is about 4 years old (I purchased coach 2 years ago). Generally everything seems to run fine, but on 3 occasions the circuit breaker on the inverter itself (a small button on the side of it) has tripped off. When this happens I don’t know anything is wrong until I lose power somewhere or I happen to be checking the inverter monitor and notice something is not right. This morning, my wife went to make coffee and there was no power at the outlet. I had already made 4 cups so was surprised. I checked and found that the inverter panel was saying low battery… 11.7V. I tried turning the inverter on… and when that didn’t work I remembered the circuit breaker on the inverter itself. Going to the inverter bay I reset it and everything went back to normal.

So my questions. 1. Is there a way I can hook up an alarm (audible if possible) so that I know if the inverter circuit breaker trips? 2. When I am hooked up to shore power can the same or similar alarm alert me that my inverter is running because the park power goes down? That has happened a few times over the years as well.

Just wondering what I might be able to do to be made aware when my power supply has these issues.

Thanks for any help!

When the CB trips on my inverter the TV dies as does the microwave clock. So that is my alarm system. 20 amps is the max current my inverter will pass without tripping. The 1500 watt electric watt heater draws 12.5 amps and the coffee pot around 8 amps so if both run any length of time the inverter CB trips. I usually turn the heater down to 750 watts when I remember until the coffee pot is finished.
