Inverter Troubleshooting, House Batteries Dead Help

I have a 2004 DP Gulfstream 36ft 45K miles. My problem is I tried to start my Onan 7.5 onan starter button blinked no start. I checked and found my house batteries dead. I troubled shot and found the soinoid 4 poles, two with the big lugs and two smaller. One side showed aprx 12.6 and the other 9.62. I started the motorhome and got 13.7 and the same 9.62. I checked the voltage with shore power plugged in and then unplugged no changes in the voltage. I thing this means no charge from the inverter. I checked all the fuses and breakers I could find not find anything wrong. I attemped to put a charge on the house batteries, unconnecting them to separate them. The charger pegged out then disconnected. How do I figure out what the problems are the inverter charger, the soinoid or what.
Thanks

First what kind of batteries do you have for the house? IF they are GC-2 six volt flooded wet cells you need to treat each pair, in series, as a SINGLE battery, if you have more than one pair you can seperate but do not separate the pair.. Charge them exactly as you would a big (4D) 12 volt battery.

At that voltage they will max out many portable chargers,, Set the portable to a lower current, or let it cycle several times.

To start generator.. Get a portable "Jump Start" luggable, this is an AGM battery, usually around 25 amp hours, in a big plastic housing with attached jumper cables.. Charge it per the owner's manual that comes with it.

Turn the house battery switch to the DISCONNECTED state, or manually disconnect the house batteries.

Hook the jumper's red wire to the POSITIVE 12 volt post on the generator (often covered or surrounded in RED) Clamp the negative firmly on the generator housing IN THAT ORDER.

Press STOP till the fuel pump kicks in (ONAN) and the light lights

Tap start

Count to 10

Press start

DO NOT DISCONNECT JUMPER

When the automatic transfer does it's thing

Connect house batteries.
