KIB Fail

Black tank empty and rinsed for 30 minutes. Monitor still showed 100% so no flush. Newmar and KIB have NO solutions to fix. Had to pull "100%" lead from module in 50 amp cord compartment to "fix".
VERY disappointed (as are many, many others) in this ridiculous system.

are you saying you have the dreaded black pyramid in your tank or that your sensors are kaput?

Black tank sensors are very inaccurate and I have not paid any attention to mine in 10 years. I just dump every Saturday and wish it well. How long did you let the flusher run? Can you hear the water running through the flusher.

It seems I fairly frequently read of someone having problems with these electronic flush limiters.
It brings a question to mind. If I go to Newmar (or any builder) for a new coach, can I order it with old style manual (reliable) toilets?
Enquiring minds.......

I think the root problem is the KIB tank level system has issues. I am curious on the root cause of the problem: Are the sensors getting fooled by tank contents? Are the sensors not reliable in their electrical output? Is the cabling from sensors to control board bad? Is the control board not displaying the data the sensors are sending?

I seem to think the problem is the last because others have been saying that a reboot of the KIB system temporarily helps. Of course I might be mixing KIB issues here since there seems to be several.

I think flyboy013 and redbaron73 have done some KIB reverse engineering. Possibly redbaron73 has enough data to determine the root cause. But I think he put a SeaLevel system in in parallel to the KIB system on his rig.

I don't have any KIB systems on my rig (thankfully) so I can't reverse engineer to determine root cause and fix. Was hoping Fly or Red could.
