Kinda URGENT, propane/electric refrigerator not level question
I know it's very important to have the fridge level to run on propane, but is it just as important when running the two way fridge on electric?
Thanks so much!

DOesn't matter which heat source is being used.........fridge S/B Level when operating
That is in reference to rig being 'stationary'
Even 20 minutes of off-level operation can cause overheating.
Overheating causes the sodium chromate to crystallize which then plate out inside tubing
Plating out disrupts the gravity flow of coolant......which causes overheating....which causes MORE crystals to form......repeat.
Damage from overheating is 'accumulative and permanent' until cooling unit is DEAD
Operating while rig is 'in motion'
Not a big concern due to the bouncing/swaying/rock-n-rolling going on which allows the coolant to continue to flow
Its' the stationary off-level operation with HEAT that is the problem

Ok. Didn't want to level the rig in the dark before turning the fridge on, do the fridge status of until leveled no matter what.
Thanks!

In the real world, typical absorption fridge specs say 4 degrees side to side (of the fridge) and 6 degrees front to back of the fridge. You would be hard-pressed to live in a coach that far out of level.
6 degrees is 1 in 10 using the 1:60 rule. so nearly a foot out of level sideways on the coach and 4 degrees is 1 in 15 which is 3 feet out of level front to back on a 40' rig. Good luck cooking on the stove top under those conditions
When on the road the movement keeps the liquids from collecting in the wrong places so no problems.

People do not like (or tolerate) an out of level living situation, so generally, if the coach is level enough for people to live / function in, the refer is happy as well.

I have purchased, installed, recommend and currently use one of these https://www.arprv.com
It has shut down the refrigerator because I parked in a rest stop without being level.

People keep saying "level"
First define level because otherwise others might be unnecessarily alarmed when they pull up to the kerb and there is a bit of a slope to the side of the road.

Because there is almost always a little slope.

I too am a firm believer in the ARP. I always thought that while in motion the out of level problem didn’t exist. Having seen my ARP having done a temporary shutdown a couple times while I was driving through the mountains I no longer think the sloshing or whatever you chose to call it is enough to prevent overheating in some cases.

In my 2008 with a Norcold the manual sad 3˚ side to side as you look at the front of the refrigerator and 6˚ front to back as in front doors to rear of refrigerator. As explained that is a lot of slope.
