Kudo's to Progressive Industries Customer Service
The following is a letter I included with my PT50C when I sent it to them:
Quote:
To Progressive Industries Repair,
Progressive Industries, Inc.
414B Airport Boulevard
Morrisville, NC 27560
This case got damaged by us having it tucked behind the rear wheel at home, to keep it out of the sun. I had a mobile mechanic come out to fix my jacks, and forgot to move the PT50C out of the way, evidently in cycling the jacks, the rear wheels moved enough to partially crush the case. It is one tough unit, it still works fine.
I told the lady on the phone for y'all that this is entirely my fault, she still said that the repair would be free of charge, which floored me, that is some good Customer Service there. If this turns out not to be the case, that is fine also, just give me a call and I will give you my CC info.
I want to say that this unit, even damaged, saved me from possible electrical damage. As the campground we were at filled in, our power shut off. I went out to see what was up, and the code was flashing for L2 low voltage at 102V, this happened every time our a/c kicked on. I switched the connection to the empty campsite next door and it's connection was better and we had uninterrupted power from then on. I would not have known this otherwise.
So, kudos for both a good product, and good customer service.
Thanks,
|
Just now I received it back and it looks brand new, they did a great job fixing it. There were 6 parts listed besides Labor that they used, and it cost me $0.00.
Just wanted to post this so that they get the acknowledgement they deserve.

As previously stated by other owners, me included, their service is absolutely great.

Ya know, I have been wracking my brain and searching email, trying to remember. Bad case of CRS. I really do not know, so it must be over a year at least.
The amazing thing though, not once in my phone call or letter correspondence, did I or they mention any date. So, until they got the unit back and look at serial number maybe, they had no idea of my purchase date. So the offer of zero cost was said with no idea of how old the unit was.

That really is amazing- I thought the warrantee was 2 years, but I CRS either. This just reinforces what a good buying decision we all made. When I was doing my research- I bought it just because the specs and features were better than the Surge Guard- not knowing how good a company Progressive was...(just like Fantastic Vent!).
