Does anyone know if the steps won't retract all the way up,can it fool the controller and make them go in and out by themselves when going down the road? Thanks,Bruce

I don't think so. That sounds like a bad connection on the magnetic sensor on the screen door.

Have you tried lubrication? Mine often get stuck half-up and a quick spray of silicone lub solves the problem.
