Leak in Aqua-Hot

Okay, on to the next possible problem.

I've noticed on our "New to us" coach that the filler bottle for the aqua-hot never seems to have coolant in it. I mean its empty.... not to the cold line when cold or hot line when hot. I filled it before I left for home last fall and it was empty again during the trip home...filled it again! When we got home I notice again.... dry filler tank.

What is the coolant capacity of the aqua-hot 100.

Note: Everything seems to work, heat exchangers, good hot water, etc.

Howdy,

I too am leaning the ins & outs of the Aqua Hot system. There is a complete service manual available online here that should help answer a lot of questions, and help get you familiar with your system.

Best,

Jon

Thanks Jon

Just got it off the AH site before I came back to the forum, Called customer service and found out my unit is a rebuild.... that's the AHU part of the model # Its still a AHE... only different

The gal that answered said that its possible that when the system was changed out it was not purged of air in all the various tubes and pumps

Anyway.... she told me to fill the main tank full and the overflow tank to the cold mark, start it up and see if the level in the overflow changes. I've got my marching orders.... onward

It'll have to be a tomorrow project... the 110 switch was on so the radiator cap on top of the boiler tank is a bit hot
