LG WM3477HW 2.3 Cu. Ft. 24" Compact Washer/Dryer Combo
We took delivery of our new 2016 Challenger 37KT. Now time to make it our own. One of the first things that we want to do is add a washer/dryer. Have been Looking for a stackable separate units but doesn't seem to be many available at this time so we are thinking about the LG WM3477HW 2.3 Cu. Ft. 24" Compact Washer/Dryer Combo. Was just wanting to hear any thoughts good and bad about this unit or any other recommendations any of you might have on the washer/dryer subject. Thanks

We use a Splendide WD 2100,and we are pleased with it. Had 1 issue and the factory sold us the part and gave installation advice. This unit washes and drys in same drum.

Just curious why you are not considering the Splendide 2100? Seems very popular with rv'er and they have great product support. You are pre-plumbed I hope. Whatever you get make certain it is secured well. These are not like household beat the clothes on the rocks type machines. They operate like extractors. They get the extraction from high r.p.m.s and are susceptible to load and balance limits.

Yes our unit is pre plumbed. We actually have room for stackable units but doesnt seem to be many options out there for the stacked units. I do like the idea of the Splendide being a vented model but was only looking at the LG because its slightly bigger in size. And it has the built in water heater, which I havent seen if the Splendide does or not

Took out a 14 year old splendide last year and went back with the splendide 2100, The old one still worked, but we are doing a long term replenishment and it was time. I would not go without venting it, I've read about possible mold issues with the non vented. The hot water heater sounds nice, but it also sounds like something else that uses energy and will require maintenance. I hate to pull mine out any more than I'd have to. You do have to wash more often and smaller loads. In the end, it's a personal decision that you should make and enjoy it.

I have a Splendide 2100XC and we are quite pleased with it. Whichever combo you buy, get the vented model. I thought Splendide made a stackable set, but perhaps not.

A ventless dryer will take several hours and several gallons of water to dry even a small load. I would also recommend a Splendide vented unit.
