Lippert 433458 Leveling Jack

One of my front jacks failed and I need a replacement. Does anyone know a good source for this jack at a better-than-Ebay price of about $440.00? Mine has 13 mounting holes, is black and rated at 8000 lbs. I haven't seen any trustworthy accounts of people rebuilding these jacks so would rather buy new.
Thanks!

I did a search for that jack and seems expensive to me.
What is wrong with the one you are having trouble with??
If it's just leaking seals I would take it to a hydraulic shop and have them put new seals in. If it's something else like a bent piston then maybe you have no choice but to buy new. Price wise what I saw for the most part was over $500.
Tell us your symtoms of the jack please

We were traveling and it developed a leak (more like a flow running onto the ground) while driving down the highway. Leak was coming from bottom of jack and leaking onto the top of the shoe. It's not a hose leak.

Your $440 price looks pretty good, especially if it is a new leg, and includes shipping!

Is there a grease fitting at the bottom of you existing leg? If so maybe a few pumps of grease will help you before you plunk down $ for a new one.

Unless it somehow has a hole in the cylinder wall, I would take it off and take it to a hydraulic shop to, what we called, Repacking the cylinder.
Try having someone run the jack while you watch to see for sure where the leak is coming from. Possibly it may be leaking from a weld. In that case they can reweld it. Or, you can buy a new one.
Hope this helps.

There is no grease nipple. There's a video on Youtube of a guy who put in new seals and he claims it to have worked. However, there's no telling if this has held up over time. I'm thinking I'll probably accept that I have to replace with a new one. I thought someone might have an inexpensive source since I'm certain others have had to deal with this. Too bad Lippert doesn't have a rebuilding service but I'm guessing they don't even manufacture the jacks and that they're a China-produced, throw-away, product.

I'll pull it apart once I remove it from the RV and take a look. I may also take it by a hydraulic repair shop but I'm guessing most will only mess around with heavy duty hydraulic components where larger dollars are to be made and rebuild parts are manufactured. Thanks!
