Lippert Slide Track wear

I have noticed on one of my slide tracks some wear in a 12in section of the track mounted on the slide.

There are some metal shaving on the track. The slide is running in and out okay.

Any ideas on correction, future problem?

Can you post a picture?

It almost sounds like the track has come loose.

Just a few WAG's. Maybe one of the track mounting screws broke or vibrated loose? Looking at mine, the track passes close to the rollers and maybe the track is rubbing on one of them? Something like a stone jammed between the track and housing? Maybe one of the rollers is broken. Maybe the shaft holding the roller is bad causing the roller to tilt?

I think you're right

It looks to me that something got in there:

I have an email into Lippert to get their opinion. The track is firmly attached to the slide and can see no other damage/wear.

OK, keep us apprised at what they say.

Looking at your picture it appears your system is very different than the one I have in my 2006 coach. Mine has a track mounted to the bottom of the slide and a round gear mounted to the electric motor that moves the slide in and out. Is that on a full wall slide?
