Excellent report. Boy, that is a tempting alternative. My AGM's will go into their 4th year of service this spring. So far, so good, but I know that they are aging....

For me, the deal breaker for the Lithium's is their size, and incompatibility with installing in my rig's battery compartment. Maybe there are some that are sized like AGM's...

Lithium battery size

Most are smaller than their AGM equivalent capacity. Check out elite power solutions.
The ones I got are available in various sizes, I just chose there because of the price I got them for used.

Ahh. Ok! My AGM's have had two full drains due to power failures at my storage garage. I know that's bad for them (shortens their effective life) but I'm not sure when it'll get to the point where we will need to replace them. Maybe this year? Maybe in 3?

Great installation. I was just wondering how the weight compares to the same amount of amp hours rated flooded or AGM batteries? Thanks in advance.

Good post.

My only complaint is my Costco GC2 batteries are holding up great, and were $325 for the 4. Makes the pricing comparisons you did look that much worse for Lithium....

How do you deal with the balance charge with your existing BMS?

The last active post in this thread, before yours and the one directly before yours is 5 Years old. I'm not surprised that the original link isn't working.

5 Years is an eternity for some technology things and there is a lot of much newer and more accurate info out there now. It's kind of like computer stuff and trying to glean info for something and the thread is 5 years old.

The original poster has not been on the forum since APRIL.....2017, so don't expect a response anytime soon.
