Looking for an awning bottom bracket for an older awning

I have an older Dometic Sunchaser 8485000.401B awning with broken bottom bracket (the part that's attached to the RV and supports the vertical arm when in transit). The problem that I'm running into is that it's no longer available. I believe that the original part # is 3314603.006B.

I've tried a 3314067.004B that claims to fit the Sunchaser 8500 series but it is too wide to fit into the bottom of the vertical arm of my awning.

I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this and found a solution?

Happy Trails

there are several RV surplus places around Goshen, Ind. area. These may be a good place to look for the part. I would try Bontrager's first, as they have some older parts.

Contact these folks: https://www.rvawnings1.com/
David has forgotten more than most techs will ever know about RV awnings. He may have what you need.

See if can download actual part list and pt# Google that. I remember a place reproducing a no longer available bottom bracket there was no stock left anywhere, been shared here. Wasn't cheap but not ridiculous.

Also, I just remembered a place in Phoenix that did our repairs and several in the campground after we were hit by a violent storm in 2021.

Thanks for the responses

Thanks for the replies. I was running out of time to secure the awning prior to a planned trip. After no luck with many tries including Dometic customer service I decided to see if I could make the 3314603.04B work. After an hour or so with a Dremel 430 - 1/4" 60 Grit Sanding Band I was able to shave away enough material for a good fit.
