LP regulator that doesn't suck: recommendations

Hi all!

I have a 2017 Winny 1700BH purchased new. I've now gone through 2 LP regulators. First one went bad after less than a year, and after getting screwed over by my dealer, I purchased a new identical one (off Amazon) and replaced it myself.

Also of note is that I have a hard cover over the tanks so it is rarely exposed to the elements.

The new one is leaking in essentially the same place the old on did (see red circles on pic). The bubbles are coming from the switch on top. Not under the switch, but like there's a crack in the plastic itself, and it's leaking thru there.
Definitely not making the same mistake again and getting another identical one.

At this point, I'm hesitant to even get an auto switchover, or even a dual tank like I had. Seems like fewer moving parts the better... I always had 1 tank closed anyway, and I'm glad I did otherwise I'd have 2 empty tanks, not 1!

So, can anyone out there in RV land recommend a good regulator?

I’d go to your local trusted propane company. They buy the good stuff because they have to rely on it. They also know the products well. I think any consumer outlet is going to have the same cheap crap made in China.

I don't have auto changeover, but I can tell you from experience that the ones for my coach with crimp assembly (like yours) have proven to be junk. Ones that assemble with screws (Marshall Brass, Mr. Heater, etc) are much better.
