LP solenoid shut-off

Couple years back while on the road I had to replace the LP gas detector under the kitchen table due to it going off and shutting down the gas (no fridge via LP). Bought a new detector (old one was original) but the new one does not have connection for the solenoid so I had to remove the solenoid.

Since then the LP level indicator inside on the panel above the stove only reads full at all times. How do I correct this? I'll get a pic of the wires I cut to remove the solenoid. Wasn't able to remove via the screws too much rust.

The solenoid should have only used two wires for control. Did you cut more than two wires?

Possible that thdelevel sensor obtained power from a splice into the hot control wire to the solenoid. Maybe...

Yep, there (3) if I remember correctly (pretty sure). How much voltage to the sensor? Have a VM.

I would think the sensor uses 12 volts.

Can you detail exactly where on the solenoid each terminated? Some may use a third wire to turn on/off an LED indicating open/close status of the valve.

I'll get a pic of where the solenoid was attached and the wiring. I'm pretty sure one they were yellow, black, ?

Black being ground. If I recall the (2) attached on one side of the solenoid and (1) on the opposite.

Any idea what the green/white wire is?

Also have a new detector inside which does not have an option to connect a solenoid. So I believe the yellow wire will be moot now. Need to get the black connected back up. Correct?

This is the new detector...

The white/green wire could be almost anything.

Does everything else still work that was working before cutting these wires? reason is the purpose of the second black wire.

I think I'd take a multi-meter and test for: 1) which leads are really ground and 2) if there are any hot leads in that group of three wires? Likely no power on the yellow since the new sensor does not support it. For the ground test, use a long lead connected to a known good ground and set the meter to Ohms, If ground present reading should be 0.0 Ohms.

Are you removing the solenoid? If not how are going to keep it open? These LP solenoids are closed without power.

Already removed the solenoid a years+ ago. Propane does work as does everything in coach with exception to what I mentioned in my first post LP LED level indicator (shows green always) when pressed.

I'll check the black with VM. Fairly sure the yellow is not powered anymore but will check. Curious as to what the green/white wire is.
