Lucky me!! Maybe..

I am in the process of replacing my old Duotherm heat pump with a brisk II. I was looking at the wrong of my systems and was checking the rear A/C (Zone2) and noticed it was not the original. It is a brisk Air but an older 1. On top of that, the model # is for a 15K heat pump. Looking it over, it appears it was wired incorrectly when installed. The old system had a heat strip which uses a 3 pin connector. The new A/C was supposed to be rewired but it never was. There is a 3 pin connector for the reversing valve that has to be removed and replace a wire on the 6 pin connector Unfortunately, the old system had a heat strip. It too uses a 3 pin connector so the installer just connected the 3 pin reversing valve connector to the 3 pin on the control box for the heat strip.

Tomorrow, I am going to do the conversion and see if it works.
