Magnum AGS Issue

I have a Magnum ME-2012 inverter, coupled with Magnum’s ME-RC remote panel and ME-AGS-N auto gen start module. I’ve had the Magnum inverter & remote panel for several years, but I just had the AGS professionally installed 6 months ago.

Our MH has been in the shop for the past four months, getting new fiberglass and a new paint job. We just got it back and have it plugged in and parked on the RV pad next to the house. The second day back from the shop, I heard the generator start on it’s own. I knew I had the AGS disabled, so this confused me. I shut down the gen and double checked the AGS setting via the remote panel. It was still disabled. Twenty minutes later, it started again. I shut it down again and pulled the AGS fuse to keep it from restarting.

The AGS is supposed to start if the batteries get low or when interior temps get high. The batteries were charged at this point, but the inside of the coach was 90F. Regardless, it shouldn’t have started if the AGS was disabled. I went through the owner’s manual, but I can’t find a troubleshooting reference for this type of error.

Anyone else ever have this issue?

No reply necessary. Pulling the fuse reset the module, all is well now.

It’s great to hear every once in a while it’s a simple fix that might save some one in the future hours of time looking for the cause of a problem.
