Magnum remote panel display dead

Hi all. The screen is lit up green but no details can be viewed. I'm aware of the contrast setting but this occurred as I was wiping the screen clean.
Is a repair possible or do I need to replace the whole panel?

Thanks in advance.

You might try the good old CTRL-ALT-DEL of the computer world!

Try powering off your charger/inverter, wait a few, then power back on.

And if no on else chimes in with other options, Magnum Tech Support has been great the two or three times I've contacted them.

Best of luck to you,
Smitty

I powered it off/on with the Gennie running. No change. Looks like it's gonna be a call in the next few days. Thanks.

when you wiped the screen, did you drop water into it?

yes, you can open it up and clean it inside. on the back, there are 4 screws (by memory now). after that you might need to use a thin flat screwdriver to pry the back cover open. an electronic board, with the buttons. if need be, use a hair dryer to blow it dry. also re-seat the data cable.

Have you tried disconnecting it from the inverter, and reconnecting it? just a shot in the dark...

Gonna do all that when I get back to the garage.

I didn't drop any water on it.
I simply used my finger to wipe off some dust and the screen went green.

Mine did that exact thing the other day and I unplugged and plugged the wire that looks like a phone cord on the inverter and it was the problem

Yeah that's why I asked earlier about trying that, a road bump disconnected mine, almost cost me trip to CW.
