Smile Maytag Recall on Refers - Residential Type

Hello All,

Maytag announced today a recall on home type refrigerators today. Their website has nothing, so I don't know too much about it except this link:

http://money.cnn.com/news/newsfeeds/articles/djf500/200903100935DOWJONESDJONLINE000402_FORTUNE5.htm

And does anyone know is most of the bolts and nuts in our coaches are metric or standard type. I am going to purchase some new wrenches as a gift to myself and they will go in the coach tool box (got new one for Christmas).

Once I see additional information about the recall I will update post. Have fun all!!!!!

Here is the site to check for the refrigerator (AMANA) recall.

https://repair.maytag.com/prjjck/ref...U_EN_US#notice

Ours was not on the list.

Monty:

The only metric I've found so far is in the electronics, but they are only thread and bolt sizes, not tools. Everything else has been SAE. My metric tools are all still clean.

The Webasto burner in the Hydro Hot has all metric hardware. I also believe hardware on the wiper arms was metric.

This day and age a combination of metric and inch is almost always required. Even my Harley has a few metric fastners. I was told I would find no metric on my stock Harley (wrong).
