Move or Re Route Sink Drainage Pipe Under Bed

Hey Everyone! My wife and I re-doing a few things in our 2007 Gulf Stream Yellowstone "C" that we are planning on going full time in a couple of weeks.

We wanted to convert the area under the bed and wanted to move or re-route the black sink drainage pipe that is right in the middle of everything we want to move. A few ideas.

1. Move the entry point into the floor back to where it is closer to the water tank. I think this is going to be the hardest thing to do because I don't see where we have access to it under the body because it's above the gas tank in a compartment, the other way is go through the floor and rip that out.

2. Re-Route the pipe to where it is going in more of a "U" shaped toward the back of the RV and then slanting down into that entry into the floor.

Just wanted to get some input to see if anyone has messed with this under the bed or reconfigured anything. We aren't using this as a bed, but we are building it for some dog beds but wanted to open up the floor space a little more, or at least create a step/landing area for the dogs and us to access the windows and cabinets. Air flow will not be restricted to the furnace, we will have the vents back in and proper space for everything to breathe under there. Hopefully the pictures help a little. Thanks in advance! We are excited to get out on the road!

I see your unit heater and your fresh water tank. Not much you can do with them. Is that a corner bed unit?

Yes, it's a corner bed unit. I don't want to move the heater or the fresh water tank. Just the drainage pipe from the sink. Move it a couple of feet back closer to the water tank. Right now it's in that closest corner right in the way.

Pictures do NOT do justice........
Can barely see sink drain pipe as it is obscured by the bed brace in 1st picture and not at all in 2nd picture.

MFG installed drain pipe PRIOR to bed being built and they did it the most easy weigh ---remember the 'plumber' was sweeping floors the week before and is getting paid 'piece work'

Moving---rerouting is going to very difficult as you would need to cut NEW opening in top of tank, seal up OEM opening ---require dropping tank

Think your 2nd option of lowering the horizontal run in section after the furnace area and running it under your new landing/step area is going to be your best method.
Just remember at some point in the future you will need to remove furnace so think about that when rerouting that drain pipe

I agree with you 100% on the 2nd option. Especially because of the time crunch we are on. Seems like there is a lot of unused space under there, so I as much as I want to get creative and start tearing things apart, I have to be realistic with expectations. Thanks again for the help!
