My Generator is spiking my voltage?

Emerald Plus/Emerald III

Its in a 1990 Pace Arrow. Runs fine but has started spiking my voltage. I read a note that mentioned slowing down the rpms to slow down the voltage. Is this how to do it and if so are we talking just working with the throttle linkage?

Hi homeless!

Generators rotate at a constant speed and voltage is controlled mostly by circuitry. I suggest have a pro look at it.

Happy trails!

I went to Cummings and found out the voltage issue was a "Voltage Regular". And while that cost about $300 the best money I spent was a service and tune up. Before all this I would have to turn on generator that I thought sounded just fine and run well, and wait for as much a 15 to 30 minutes before I could try to turn on my roof airs. But now that they have put new plugs and load tested and tuned it up and set governor.. I now can fire the generator and turn airs on immediately. The generator Tec told me that the generator is plug and play, in other words once its on you can turn on the roof airs or anything else right away...
