'F' Fault Code is 'No Flame' detected.
Spark Electrode provides the high voltage spark to ignite the gas AND is also used for 'flame sensing'. Flame creates an AC current which gets rectified into a DC current which circuit board is looking for....this milliamp signal is used as proof that gas has ignited/stayed ignited.
Spark Electrod gap should be 3/16" and centered over burner slots so it is engulfed in flame when ignited.
Spark electrode needs to be claen of soot/carbon so milliamp signal is not inhibited (clean with emery cloth)
