Need Generator repair help

I have an old Kohler Confident 7 7CCKM22 LP Generator that we have been messing with for over a year and it still doesn't work. Does anyone know anyone in VA,MD or PA that is a trustworthy repair facility for generators? We are at our wits end and the closest Kohler authorized repair facility just ripped us and left us with it still not working.

Thanks for any help!

Doesn't work as in engine won't start or starts and runs but does not generate power? Any small engine shop should be able to get the engine running. Did a call to Kohler about the behavior of their local representation garner any results?
