Need help with BoxOfManyButtons

Tried to watch a DVD over the weekend, but no matter what button I pushed on the BOMB all I got was OTA TV. What am I missing?

Is the DVD player connected to the DVD Video & Audio RCA Plugs on back of 'BOMB"?

Did you select DVD (or AUX) on front of 'BOMB' for the TV (Front/Rear)?

Did you select the correct Input on YOUR TV?

"Trying every button" may not get it to work. Assuming bomb is turned on and input and output are correctly connected and all devices are working, you need to press the correct combination of input and output buttons.

Also, have you checked your TV's input settings?

Last ditch, power off everything, let sit for 10 minutes, then power up again and re-try.

What's the Make/Model of your BOMB? Does it have power going to it? The DVD is probably the AUX connection and requires the RF modulator to be on and the TV selected to either channel 3 or 4.

Sounds like it's missing power to it.

I think the power to the BOMB is only for the batwing OTA antenna.

It powers the converter, that supplies power to change the component input to composite, it that's the kind of box he has.

I should have realized that it depends on the type BOMB he has. My old one only had coaxial connections! Thanks for correcting me!

New TVs with multiple inputs don't really need that BOMB.
Ditch it and run the hdmi from the DVD to any hdmi input on the tv, assuming you're not still running the old analog tube tv.
Much better picture/sound quality. The source button on new TVs is the BOMB.....

Your coach is approx. the era of our prior Bounder so the set up may be similar. Our BOMB had 2 sets of OTA/CABLE/DVD buttons for both the front & rear TV's.

The BOMB had to have the DVD button selected for the TV I wanted to watch the DVD on. We ditched the tube TV's & the replacement, semi-smart, Visio's had a MENU setting where I had to select DVD in order to watch DVD movies.

I'm thinking your menu selection on your TV is not set correctly for the signal to come through if you've already selected the correct DVD button on your BOMB.

Finally got to work on the problem. I had an LG dvd/vcr feeding a dynex box going to the BOMB. Went to Best Buy and bought a Sony DVD player and proceeded to rip out the rats nest of wiring, including extension cords and the LG. Hooked up the Sony with an HDMI cable direct to TV and problem solved. I've never seen so many loose wires. After all of that, I noticed the LG has an HDMI port. Could've saved some $$$ maybe.

Next time we attempt to use cable, hope the bomb works, otherwise, out it goes. Oh it's a model VCS-7.
