I added a 2nd 15k heat pump in the bedroom of my class C. It’s the Haughton from RecPro and it cools and heats extremely well though I have never tried it below 38 degrees. The only thing I don’t like about it is that the fan does not ever cycle off even when the compressor is not running. My Coleman Mach 8 fan turns off as the compressor cycles off when the thermostat is in auto mode. The Haughton never shuts off. RecPro says this is by design.

Same thing with the Atwood Air Command. When the fan is on auto the fan always runs but it is very quiet and I assume that it contributes to the stellar temperature control as they have a temperature sensor for the intake air somewhere in the plenum.

This on the 13,500 A/C unit, ducted.

I just installed new durotherm high capacity heat pumps on our Monaco and they give up and shut down between 33 and 31 degreed. One seems to give up a little sooner than the other. I'm not sure what the difference is but I suppose frost builds up faster when you have a mor humid atmosphere but then I'm not sure. Anyway having them still working at 31 isn't a surprise.

You must have the fan turned on to run continious. Mine shut off as expected.

We installed the Duo-Therm 13,500 units last year and they have performed very well. My only complaint is they are really loud. I'm not sure I'd get the high capacity units again. I think the way they are getting another 1500 Btu's out of these things is by circulating more air and that required a much higher fan speed. Equals loud.
That's just my opinion.
