New member Electrical Problems

Thanks for allowing me to be part of this forum. I retired from the aerospace industry a few years back. I recently acquired a low mileage 2006 36D Pace Arrow and anxious to get on the road. However, an electrical short has developed in number 3 circuit that supplies power to the bedroom outlets and rear TV, plus the dinette and outlet above the front sofa. I am at a loss on isolating the short on the driver’s side (slide out). I have determined the bedroom outlets are not shorted but unable to do the same on the slideout side because I have been unable to locate the junction boxes. There is no loads on any of the outlets but I get a direct short reading with an ohmmeter between the black and white leads of the romex. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!

Congrats on the new rig! Hopefully someone will be along that can help with your problem. Have fun and keep her between the ditches!

I would suggest that you create a signature showing the make and model of your RV. It will help folks to answer questions you may have in the future.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

If the short is in a slide, look underneath for pulled, pinched, or burnt wires where they use the flex cable.
