New RV - need stovetop help

Brand new Escape 5.0 fifth wheel sitting in my driveway, yeah.

Just got my new propane tanks filled. Hooked them up to test the furnace and cooktop. Furnace works fine.

When I turn on the cooktop to light (Dometic two burner) I do not hear any gas and can't get it to light. Since the furnace works, I know I'm getting propane ok at least through the furnace lines.

The clicker lighter seems to be working. I tried a manual stick lighter to be sure it's not totally silent on the incoming gas. No soap.

Don't see any on/off valves at the gas lines under the stovetop to open.

Any advice?

Do you smell gas when burners are open?

You might need to do a hand over hand check of the gas line to see if by chance there is an isolation valve in the propane distribution piping.

The next question to ask is how the dealership, as part of the $$$ dealer prep service that isn't optional, missed stove top not working? And lets hope it's just a closed isolation valve and not an open line dumping propane somewhere.

Under the stove top should be another regulator for the stove LP
It controls at 10"WC (0.36 psi) ---when RV LP System is at 11"WC (0.39 psi)

Should not be any 'isolation' valves on any of the supply lines to the appliances. Just the Main LP Service Valve(s)
*If furnace works then you have LP

Stove regulator could be stuck/bad......with burner nob open tap the regulator a few times and try lighting that burner with a BBQ lighter
*BBQ Lighter constant flame while trying the burner and tapping reg

How long have you waited? The furnace will take a lot more propane than the stove and if the stove is further away from the tank it could take longer to get there.

I can also share that it takes a LONG time for the propane to reach my stove, and I only have a 22’ travel trailer. I often get frustrated and think I have a problem, until suddenly I get a whiff of propane and I’m good to go!

Some rigs that have the stove in a slide have a shut off valve where the hard pipe transitions to rubber. It’s also possible to have the hose kink when the slide changes position. Worth a look underneath if waiting longer doesn’t pay off.

Don't know if it worked or not.

Escape Trailers are direct from the factory in Chilliwack, British Columbia. Since it's a 64 hr round trip for me, I got it delivered to my driveway.

Independent company for the delivery, so the driver has no responsibility for PDI other than any damage during delivery.

They just started a partnership with Retro Renos in Jacksonville, FL. I'm headed out on my maiden voyage from Arkansas to Central Florida. Retro is only an hour detour and they also do warranty work for Escape.

So a bit of a shakedown trip and have Retro for any kibbles and bits that need attention.
