New water pump problems

I just installed a new water pump. The old one was getting loud. Well file this under "leave well enough alone". The new pump is just a loud as the old one. But it also surges when you turn on a faucet to low. Not sure what I can do to fix that. It is a Flo-Jet Vflo 5.0. According to my research, this is the replacement for the old one.
Any suggestion on the surge?

Also, are there any isolation kits to install on the hose connections to keep the pump vibration from getting to the hoses and the rest of the motorhome?

You could install a small accumulator tank in the line from the pump.

a very easy and quick way to minimize the vibration/noise is to separate the pump from the floor / wall of the coach. Use a simple sponge or silicone rubber doggy bowl to set the pump on/in.

i initially also installed an air tank to minimize the quick 'run time' of the pump, but found that minimizing the noise was actually what I was trying to accomplish. Now I can hardly hear the pump running, which can itself also be a negative, as sometimes I WANT to hear it, to make sure it's 'working'... !

it's always something!

I did both things as pump is right under my pillow. first I took, used 3/8 plywood, put 2 layers of 1/2 inch carpet pad and another layer of plywood. siliconed the edges. made the bottom ply large enough so I could screw it down to the floor. screwed the pump to the upper ply and it reduced the pump noise by 90% now sounds like a soft rumble way off in the distance that I have to listen for. But that was 20 years ago when I made it so perhaps my hearing has gotten worse too!

I still have the same coach.

2nd, I installed a 2 gallon staineless steel bladder tank. that way the pump only comes on once per night. The original pump lasted 17 years, so the tank does lenghten the life of the pump.
