New Will Prowse Video on Budget LiFePO4 Batteries

Will Prowse has a new video out (4/8/22) featuring a tear-down of several budget LiFePO4 batteries.

Also, here's a link to his budget LiFePO4 recommendations. Note that it hasn't been updated to reflect the above:

I went with the Weize 100ah batteries based off his and other reviews. Figured it was a good mid priced lithium. I have found cheap is usually just that, and expensive is sometimes just that as well. The Weize seemed to be the best option for me.
They are going in my new ORV 21RBS with 340 watts of solar.
Can’t wait to go!

I don't know what Enduro is.

I agree, mid priced is often the best option. Personally, I'm sticking with my golf cart batteries for now. We're just not using our MH enough to justify going the LiFePO4 route right now but I'm trying to keep myself educated on the topic.

Enduro is a brand name, but is still a Lifepo4. And from looking, seems their claim is they are 25% smaller in size. Plus they are made in USA.
The Enduro 100ah is $700
The Weize 100ah is $400
Dual AGM batteries $5-600
And to be honest, I had not even heard of the Enduro brand until you posted.
Size wasn’t necessarily a concern as the 100ah battery is about the same size as a standard 12volt but as the majority of my camping is off grid, I wanted 200ah and went with the Weize.
I say keep doing your research and choose what’s best for you.
It was easy for me since I am starting from scratch so to speak, so spending another $200 for lithium was a no brainer.
Good luck and have fun

Personally I wouldn't buy the Enduro or any other LiFePO4 battery unless I've seen Will Prowse or some other respected reviewer do a full test, including a teardown. I've seen too many of his teardowns that expose manufacturing faults, design weaknesses or other problems like advertised temperature sensors that don't exist or are in the wrong place. Teardowns are destructive (expensive) and other than Will, I don't know who's doing them.

As far as I can tell, he hasn't done a teardown evaluation of the Enduro. Will even does teardowns on premiumly priced batteries like Battle Born.

all Will Prowse has to do is a review of any battery and they improve, but up there pricing.

sad it makes some of the good brands out of the price range of most people.

i would love to buy two of the sok 12v 206 ahr units. but the $1K USD price say's, one only.

But thanks to Will Prowse's videos many many people out there are far batter in there knowledge of the battery's out there. and the junk stuff does not sell.

I've watched a couple of other Youtube reviews, some with teardowns but they're just not in the same league as Will Prowse. One that I watched recently commented about the low temp charging sensor being located between some transistors on the BMS which would cause it to not accurately read the battery temperature but he still gave the battery a positive review.
