Question Newbie request help understanding leveling system o

Hi,
I recently purchased a 2004 Newmar Mountain Aire, workhorse W22, 8.1 gas engine. I'm trying to work some bugs out of the Hydro system and I need advise on the hydraulics operation. My control panel has PWR, Stow, & level buttons as well as up and down arrows for each of the 4 corners. I was under the assumption that once the PWR button was depressed, the level light is suppose to come on and if I press level twice then the coach should auto level? Is this correct? This doesn't happen. I can push the arrows and manually level the coach. Also when I depress Stow the jacks all 4 do not retract/stow, I can raise the jacks manually by pushing the arrow to raise them although they do not fully retract enough to turn the lights off...Front Jack lack maybe 1/2 inch while the rear lack 5 to 6 inches of being retracted. I've clean the rams and applies silicon...There is no pitting and the rams are polish smooth.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks Mike

Try looking at HWH's operating manual. You can access it here: NEWMAR MOUNTAIN AIRE PUSHER 2004 – DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION – HWH® Corporation

If you don't have an HWH system let us know what you have.

Good luck!

I'll assume your coach has an HWH leveling system ?

BUT : HWH has many different leveling systems , does the control panel say "auto leveling "?
Do you have a users manual ?

HWH , does not recommend silicone for cleaning and the return springs may need replacing .
Info in these pdfs and available from HWH web site .
