No water in commode?

Hello.....when I push on the pedal to bring water into bowl, nothing happens. This is a Thetford model 34430. Water flows through the plumbing so there is no clog. (I disconnected the hose from commode and then turned on pump . Water flowed. ) But no water flows into commode. Any ideas?

Glad to have you here in the forum with us. You'll love it here.

Did this just start happening, or has it been doing it from the beginning of your ownership?

Happy Trails!!!

Just started doing it a couple of days ago. Have owned trailer for 17 years. Replaced toilet 12 years ago.

I had that happen on a commode in a previous RV. It turned out to be the cable to the flush mechanism was broken. The cable cost more than a new toilet so the toilet got replaced!

I would begin with checking the connection from the pedal to the flow and dump mechanism. Question would be does the dump blade open when you push the pedal?

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Sounds like it would have to be a defective foot valve. Keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
