Question Non Vented Convection Microwave Oven-HELP

I need to replace our Dometic 1.6 CF Convection Microwave oven. We need a NON-VENTED convection Microwave oven. Any suggestions on where to purchase one? Brand Names of some you recommend? 1.5 cf would work the best, 1.6 was in it and a 1.7 will work. Stainless steel. Thank you in advance for your help.

Why non-vented?

We measured and after looking around for a good fit found one at Walmart of the same brand that was a newer model. I did need to make some small modifications.

Why NON VENTED (or front vented)

Because the unit is mounted in an enclosed cabinet, the Vented air is high moisture and will cause the wood of the cabinet to ROT like you won't believe in very short time..

Now Vented ones .. Vent to outdoors (no humidity issues) and front vented ones Vent into the living space (Possible humidity issues but in winter you need the moisture and in summer the A/C removes it).

But if you have a vented model and do not have the proper outdoor vent (like a dryer vent, on a House) you get major wood rot.

We have a GE Profile convection/microwave in our house. It has the option to be vented or non vented. Ours is non vented and we love it. It is stainless steel.

Our first one lasted 20 years.

............,

Yes, yes..... I was asking the OP why HE wanted a non-vented unit.
If I had a failed non-vented unit, I would cut a hole for the vent and replace it with a vented one.

My non vented unit is enclosed, it vents to the outside of the cabinet.

Those louvers on the top is where the warm air blows into the kitchen. Would it be better to vent to the outside? Maybe, but there is no moist air entering the inside of my cabinet.

Look for one one that is designed to be built in. It will vent out the front

I installed a unit not designed to be built in and after being in convection mode for 45 minutes the temp behind the unit got up to 200 degrees. I ended up cutting a hole through the wall and installing a fan.
The one I installed in my next motor home was also not designed to be built in but a build-in kit was available. It had additional sheet metal that pulled air in from the from the front and vented the hot air back out of the front.
I would have bought a cabinet model but could not have find one that would fit in the space available.

All of them are vented, some vent to the outside and others vent inside.
