Norcold 10cu ft Residential Replacement
I would like to replace my Norcold N109X frig with a residential frig. Most of the posts I can find are replacing larger units with the Samsung 197 which is far too large for mine.
The Norcold is 23-1/2"W x 60"H x 24"D.
Has anyone replaced this frig and what did you use as a residential replacement.
I have an 1800 PSW inverter and 4 batteries so I should be OK to run it.
Thanx

Suggest you go to a Lowe's store and check out the smaller Frigidaire units. We replaced a 4 door Norcold in our previous coach with an 18.2 cu Ft Frigidaire Gallery top freezer fridge. While shopping for that, I believe they had a 14 cu Ft model that may likely fit in the space you have. Certainly some of the smaller apartment size fridges should fit if you shop around.

Did your unit have the propane heater under the frig? Did you do additional bracing to support the weight of the new frig?
Thank You very much for the model #.

They weigh about he same.
I replaced the wood chip board shelf because it looked bad, with 1/2" plywood. No extra bracing.
I have my furnace under so I glued and screwed a piece of 3/4" foam insulation to the underside of the plywood so heat wouldn't radiate up.

Check out the GE GTR12HBDWW. That is what I installed and it fit just fine. I would suggest 3/4 plywood on floor because of the wheels. I have two 6 volt batteries with a samplex inverter that almost makes it through the night. I'm certain that having 4 batteries will do the job. I also installed the IM4A icemaker but I didn't use the large bin that came with it.

I replaced mine with a 10.3 CF Haier from Lowes. $350 and free delivery and take away.

I saw the Haier, and it fits, the Whirlpool name just gave us more confidence.

I didn't mention that it is 11.8 cu ft. It cost me $600.

You can peruse the AJMadison web site for a fridge with the dimensions that you are looking for to fit the opening.

You most likely will not get the warranty company to make a service call in a RV or you could get lucky and they may service it. It is really up to the warranty company whether they do or don't. Samsung did for my residential.

DITTO Jimbo2013 just finished the whirlpool install, used 3/4 " plywood to raise and support the hinge foot for the doors. Also installed above furnace, with plenty room above. Couldn't lower fridge because of drain pipe. Wife likes just fine.
