Norcold 1200 cabinet height

Hello everyone Pulling my norcold 1200 for a fridgidare 18.3 cf 65.5 inches tall. I have 2 drawers under the norcold but do not want to lower the floor. Will 65.5 inches fit the old opening if I can possibly increase the height by cutting the face height

A Norcold 1200 is 63 1/4 inch tall. Can you remove enough top face trip to get the extra height needed?

I sure hope so. The fridge we bought at lowes measured 65.5 from the floor Width will be narrower and the depth should be ok also. I can eliminate the bottom cabinet and install another subfloor but my wife sure would like to keep that space. Only issue would be the new fridge is up off the floor and we couldn't pull it out unless I had some young horses to grab ahold of it and lift it down. Also there are two propane lines under there. One larger one that feeds over through two cabinets to the range and the other smaller hose goes up to the fridge. Not sure what to do. The fridge is in a slide also. Lowering the floor is really not that big of deal.

Couple of notes from when I did mine and what I have read.

You can remove the rollers on the bottom of the new fridge to get it shorter. Also you can get a 4 wheel furniture dolly and build it up to hight of the opening put the new one on it to slide it in and out of the opening.

Once you remove the notcold you will may find and inch or two above the unit to the ceiling. With all that you may get it to fit without removing the cabinets.

You really will not know till the notcold is out and you can measure the opening.

Also we took a window out and used a rented material handler to remove the notcold and load in the new Samsung.
