Norcold 1200 problems
I am done with my Norcold 1200! It was replaced after a fire in 2004 and now after 9 years of poor cooling it was looked at by local service tech and the unit shows signs of overheating. The tech says I need a new cooling unit, but I am done with Norcld and recalls and fires. So the old Norcold 1200 unit is OUT and in the trash! The new Samsung 19.7 cuft is getting ready to take its place. I and my wife are very happy to get away from the Norcold fire trap.

Norcold 1200
Hello Steve I bought the Samsung 17.8 Cu.Ft. 3-Door French Door Refrigerator Stainless Steel - RF197ACRS at Home depot. They had to order it. I get it this week and I will install it next week. I hope this helps.

Would love to have a Samsung unit! We have a Jenn Aire side by side unit in the MH we just bought. Jenn Aire is OK but DW likes the bottom freezer better.

To ditch the Not-So-Cold is a great move, now you will be able to sleep at night.

I think you'll be pleased with the 197 (we are). More space and it is efficient. You'll need to figure out how to keep the doors and drawer closed when traveling - we use velcro but there are other suggestions on this site.

Thank you everyone for your replies. Its nice to know that so many people care about others and offer great suggestions. Hope to see you all on the road some day.
I also updated my battery bank, I now have 6 Lifeline AGM 12 volt, 255 AH each. I will be updating my solar panels also, 1200 watt total of new panels. With Midnite classic 150 charge controller.
We dry camp a lot so excited about the new battery's and solar panel system.
