Norcold 1210 fault code LIOP

I have a norcold 1210 that was installed new in my MADP last year after the original failed
And it has worked fine until we were heading home from ore winter trip and I was a little warm in the fridge
We thought nothing of it until we started it back up today and it came up with the code LIOP
We called norcold and a very rude man on phone told my wife to unplug it and take it to the nearest camping world and have the techs look at it
After all the stuff I read on the forums should I take it out ? What are my choices
We do a lot of dry camping at state parks so I am not sure of residential units
I also called camping world and they quickly told me they will order the parts and call me and I can Waite a few hrs and it will be all set
Questions are
/ have them fix it and see what happens ( if their a chance it will break again or even worse catch fire ) ?

/. Switch to a residential unit ( anyone no of a good tech in the Connecticut area ) ?

Replace with a smaller unit that is not norcold ?

Sounds like Camping World will simply throw parts at it until something makes it work, at your expense.
Download the Norcold 12xx service manual (100 pages, pdf) and you see the N1oP means the high temperature limit switch is open. It then lists 4 different reason for the error code, and remedies.
Has all the Norcold 12xx recall "fixes" been performed? I think there are 3 now. This irv2.com thread contains a wealth of information about the recalls.
