I could never get mine loose. The wiring bundle was either hung up or more likely, clamped to the top of the refer and the only way to get mine out would have been to remove the refer. Even tho I knew that's not much of a job, still, the idea of all that had to be done made me try to avoid it.

So I worked on the external wiring instead and eventually found that the problem was not in the eyebrow circuitry but was just poor connections out on the control board. The connections had aged and were loose. After I cleaned, polished, and squeezed the terminals a little so they were tighter, the refer started working and stayed working for 10 years after.

I should have googled your refers model number before commenting...

Your refer has the middle eyebrow. My old refer had a top mount. It also had soldered on wiring but yours, according to the wiring pictorials, has two connectors. So yours should be removable without removing the entire refer.

Check out the Wiring: Norcold 6182 wiring

And a new eyebrow PCB: Might be found here...

But $90 seems a bit steep if you only need a multi-position switch. Try: Mouser Electronics

Finally got around to installing the new IGN Module, Igniter electrode and Eyebrow board..

If if took 20 minutes for all.. ok maybe 30 because I had some coffee,,

The Inition board was a direct fit and plug in.. the igniter as plug right in, a tweek with screw driver to set gap .

3 screws on garnish for eye brow, drop rt side screw all the way out as it goes thru board and old board pops out, 2 connecters, and done..

Works like a charm...wallet is 236 lighter but.....I am an RV owner, deep pockets are required...
