Norcold Door Alarm Issue

Shortly after leaving Chama New Mexico a couple of days ago we started having door alarms on our norcold 1200 frig. We had never had a door alarm before. DW shifted items out of the door shelves wiped down the door seals and door facings nothing helped. When the door alarm sounded sometines it would reset before she reached the frig. Other times she touched the door and the alarm stopped. After a couple of hours she realized we had never traveled, until that day, with nothing on the top shelf of the frig. She moved items onto the top shelf and no more alarms. The next day she moved all items off the top shelf and we started getting door alarms again. She put Items back on the top shelf and no more alarms. I guess we allways keep stuff on the top shelf.

I believe you but it sounds strange. We're going to Chama tomorrow. Pm me with some helpful hints. Too bad we couldn't hook up.

sometimes an intermittent light switch will set off the alarm. Also if your doors have dropped, due to wear on the lower hinges the door will move up & down causing the interior light to come on setting off the alarm.
