Norcold fridge door latch
I have the 2 door top/bottom fridge with the plastic pull down door latch which I forced one day and broke the little pin on the plastic slider latch. Of course I have to buy the whole latch assembly for about $60. Has anyone taken apart the door to replace the latch? It does not seem obvious. The left side trim piece snaps off, but the balance of the trim is a mystery. Help.
Model N842IM
Door is on page 3 of the attached parts list. http://www.thetford.com/LinkClick.as...d=498&mid=1318

Scroll to the bottom of this LINK of fridge to ART 01727 and you will see your latch which has some screws screwed into door frame.
Its a long download so be patient.

007,
That helps, looks like the decorative panel slides out after removing the one retainer piece. That will give me access to the last screw. Thanks.
Not so long of a download when you have a 20 mbps connection at work.

Got it! Ordered the new latch, about $60 delivered. Two screws on top behind the latch I could see and remove. The third screw which went in perpindicular to the other two was hidden behind a bubble in the interior door seal and was a 3 mm allen head screw. Trimmed a very small piece of the seal to reveal the screw. Didn't have to remove the door front.
