Norcold Fridge Issue
Have a 24' 2010 Dutchmen Freedom Spirit trailer. The fridge acts up as follows: About 12 hours after starting the unit the freezer is as cold as it needs to be, ~10 degrees or less. However the fridge part sometimes won't get cold enough for 2-4 days. When it does get down to 40 or lower it works fine the rest of the time with no worries. Is there something I can do, besides replacing the unit, to make the fridge cool sooner? I have looked around for solutions but haven't found any yet.
Thanks,
Canyon

First, get a Fridge Defend unit with the fan cotrol included. Install a fan to blow cooling air over the coils at the back.
I also installed 3 tiny computer 12 volt fans to blow onto the cooling fins inside the fridge. I snaked the wires down the drain line and out into the back of the fridge to get power whenever the fridge is on.
It takes around 18 hours to get down to 34-35 degrees in the fridge now. 4 door 1210 2008 model. I'm a happy camper now!

What model is your Norcold?
Airflow/Draft is critical to cooling.........
Improper installation/too wide clearances will greatly affect ability to remove heat (got to remove the heat for both compartments to cool effectively)
Is fridge LEVEL when being operated?
Door seals.......check in several places around the door by placing a dollar bill over seals and close door. Pull on bill........should be resistance when pulling. The more the better
Check the drip tray drain tube.........if cracked/deteriorated then warm air can be pulled up into food compartment causing it too be warm
Do you have same issue on AC, On Gas or doesn't matter which heat source you use??

As mentioned by another happy camper, our product usually fixes this issue.
Get the product with the two blowers.

I replaced my Norcold cooling unit this summer after having the same problem. When I took the cooling unit off, I saw that the mastic that transfers the heat was hard and brittle and looked like it had almost been burnt. I wonder if that had something to do with the cooling efficiency. After seeing the burnt spot in the wood above the heat chamber I decide to not go back with a gas unit.
