Norcold Fridge not Cooling

Hi all, long time listener, first time caller....


I'm a first time RV'er, purchased a 2021 Titanium 23DBS and had it delivered to our home in Maine in December, hasn't left the driveway yet.


While initially the refrigerator was working fine, it has now stopped cooling in both electric and propane modes. It is a Norcold N8XR.


I have replaced the fuse, and it is receiving power. The green light is on and solid, and it cycles through each function (propane vs electric) appropriately as if nothing was wrong. I have left it it running in both modes for 24 hours and it hasn't cooled at all. I have releveled the RV, waited for 24 hours, and it still won't cool. There is no obstruction to any of the exhaust ports.



The nearest Outdoors RV dealer is 1000 miles away from me, so I'm reaching out to see if there is a repair I can attempt on my own.

If your eyeball level your probably level enough.

Have you read through the manual for the unit, particularly the troubleshooting guide? You should be able to find a copy of the service manual for that unit either in the Files section above or somewhere through an internet search.

Being as you have a travel trailer, I do t know that you have a Use/Store switch, but you need to confirm it is in Use mode.
Are you on shore power or batteries?

What is voltage at the back of the refrigerator (12 VDC)?


On propane is there a flame visible? Is boiler too hot to touch?
