Thank you for that information. I sorta thought maybe it had to do with one of the newer Norcold models but I wasn't sure.
However, I would have thought that Norcold would have re-engineered the newer models to alleviate any need for a recall device to be installed. But since it is perceived as a Safety item, they probably think that it is good thing to continue with it in their new units and build a fridge around it.
The Amish cooling unit does not need the Norcold Black Box recall device installed. You would have thought that Norcold would have smarten up by then and start building their units to the same heavy duty specs. NOT !!
I will not give Norcold anymore of my money.
