Norcold Polar 7 Install

Hey all just wanted to share some information on the New Norcold Polar 7 series refrigerators. We had a Norcold N611RT that died on us probably from over heating. We purchased the new Polar 7 NA7LXFR 2-way as it directly replaces the N611 as far as the opening in the coach. I did have to bend the LP line as the Polar's LP inlet is on the other side.
I have also added the ARPrv protection device to this fridge while I had it on the bench testing it before installing it in the coach. I will post more on the ARP once I have the fridge installed and running.

I'm just getting done moving the factory brackets to the new fridge as Winnebago uses special brackets to support the back of the unit. Makes for a nice install but adds a little more work.

Definitely more to come on this and I welcome any and all questions as I'd be happy to provide anything that I can.

Polar 7 is installed

Thanks for the "Welcome" Joe & Annette!

The fridge slipped right in yesterday with no problems. Just had to get the factory rear supports off the old fridge and onto the new one. When doing this make sure to measure very carefully as the new fridge was just a little different and you need those plates to line up with the brackets in the coach. After that it lined up with the opening perfectly. Just proceed slowly when bolting it in. Don't tighten anything up until all screws are started.

Here's a few more pics of the fridge going in.

Have a great day all!!

Is the plastic drain tray under the brackets (below and nest to the lower outside vent) a Winnebago item or a Norcold item. I'm replacing an NA641 unit with a new N7LX 3 way. The plastic pan bit the dust with the removal of the unit support floor.

Ah, finally found the reply button. The plastic pan I’m referring to was a full-width ABS tray fitted with a drain hose that emptied under the chassis in front of the rear wheel. There’s no reference to it in my downloaded and bound manuals for the new fridge. The Installation manual specifies the support for the unit to extend to the outside wall. I’m rebuilding the inside of the enclosure with specified baffles, etc. with a new level floor I’m not sure I need to brackets that fasten to the outside wall. Get my frustration/confusion???

THAT drain pan would be a Winnebago Item.....NOT RV Fridge Item

Give Winnebago a call and inquire.
Probably need Year/Model and VIN when you call

Thumbs up

Nothing showing for that part in the manual that came with the RV from Winnie. Think I'll just re-create the drain apparatus from memory and galvanized sheet metal. Thank you for your responses and input Biscuit.
