Norcold refer error message "no AC"

My sister and I were in my coach talking about what she needed to do to load up for our Florida trip and we got on to the subject of ice.

I told her I had not yet tested the refer, as the prev owner stated it worked fine and left it at that. Well, I had the Onan generator running with the furnace on and lights. When I turned on the refer and set it to AC, it kicked back the error "no AC"

Hmmm, anyone have any ideas what the issue may be.

A note: The coach was not level when I turned on the refer. The only thing I can think of is that some safety feature would not let the refer turn on because the coach was not level.

It's not sensing any AC voltage incoming or has an issue with the heating element.

In the rear of the fridge under the black plastic cover is a control board with two fuses, Check the 5 amp Glass fuse to make sure that it has not blown.

While there, check the duplex to make sure that there is 120 VAC coming out of it.

Report back.

Ok, so I need to go from the outside of the coach and remove the panel to see the fuses and check for 120 VAC?

If ur refer has an ac plug like mine, check the outlet with a tester to see if have power. I recently had the same problem and it turned out to be a gfci outlet in the bathroom that was tripped. Refer shares the same circuit. BTW, u can buy a real handy little tester at home depot that just plugs into any ac outlet. I leave mine in the coach, comes in handy. Good luck

Yes. Be comfortable with 120V, 12V, and LP.

Ok, guys. Thanks

I can't get to the coach until Thursday. I'll check the outlet for good generator ac output and check the fuses.

Hope this one is simple. It would suck to lose the ac function. However, I guess the good thing is that I can just run propane for the two week Florida trip.

I did not test propane function, yet. Fingers crossed....sheesh! Why did I not test the refer before now??? Oh well, live and learn.
