Oasis stuck back flow valve
New to this forum and wanted to share my findings. We were in Alabama the coldest weather to date this year Jan 10th and could not get heat via the heat radiators in the bedroom or rear bath. Front of the coach was heating fine. With temps in the 20's the heat pumps were useless. Got home and put her in the to garage and ordered parts like five year maintenance for the burner and a pump just in case. Being a large guy I was unhappy to find the distribution box behind the short slide out tray in the one basement. After a day of crawling in and out of the bay moving pump wires around to make sure they were working I finally layed there thinking. I live by a saying KISS keep it simple stupid! Not abiding buy that I layed there listening to both pumps run and then started feeling the supply and discharge hoses. Pump one hot both sides. Pump two hot on one side still cold on the other, what's in between the back flow valve. Gave it a tap with the a pair of plyers and boom heat began to flow. Now I'm not excited to dump all the glycol out of that zone to remove the valve and ultimately replace it(wishing they had put brass valves above there very easy to do) but I'm going to monitor it for the rest of the winter season here in Florida on our weekend trips. I hope this helps some of you before you go into much trouble shooting sensors and relays, just a tap might get you going. She's 13 years old and 100,800 miles strong we love her. Ps our friends just bought their eleventh since we have been traveling together. Always a Tiffin this weekend they came to the dark side and bought a 25 Dutch Star, I won't hear the end of it if it's a lemon wish me luck. JT
