Odd RV Microwave Trivia

I noticed something odd about my RV's microwave. Every microwave I've ever had in the past with a turntable the turntable has rotated at 6 rpm, or one rotation every 10 seconds. It's rather convenience for things like having coffee cup handles ending up facing you. My RV microwave doesn't spin at that rate. Not a huge deal, but odd.

At one time only about two companies actually made microwaves for the various brands. I'm assuming this is made by a third company.

LOL. I only noticed when the digital push buttons started showing up. I'd try to short cut 1:22 for 1:20 since it would be faster to enter, but the cup would end up slightly out of whack. 1:55 being the worst, but you could substitute 2:00 for that.

Never really noticed....
Hummm wonder what the rotation rate is. Not really LOL

If more then 45 seconds to heat coffee I would end up having to mop up hot coffee off turntable
1200W Inverter Micro

Is that an RV sized microwave? That's my other complaint about my trailer's microwave, it's not an inverter. It hasn't bothered me enough to look for a smaller size inverter, but it would be good to know such things exist.

No
RV one was 750W and mounted in cabinet above stove top
Yanked it and put a 1200W Inverter one in its place
*some cabinet mods were required

I think 1.2/1.3 cu/ft inverter models are available form Panasonic, Magic Chef etc

Mine didn't either. I hated having cold spots in my coffee.

I sometimes wish I could turn off the rotation for square pizzas. Grrrrr. And the frozen pizzas never tell you if they are round or square. Grrrrr.

Trivia question: Besides most metal things and running your microwave empty, what is forbidden, because it's the most dangerous thing you can do in a microwave?
